Cheryl Burke addresses harsh claims regarding her looks

Cheryl Burke Responds to Critics of Her Appearance

Cheryl Burke is standing her ground against those critiquing her looks. Recently, the “Dancing with the Stars” alum took to social media to clarify some recent comments regarding her appearance and to debunk rumors about her health and any cosmetic procedures.

In a video, Burke directly addressed her critics, stating, “Let’s talk about the elephant in the comments section. I’m not on Ozempic, I’m not sick, I haven’t had a face transplant, and I didn’t get an eyebrow lift.”

Burke expressed her frustration over the “wild” level of speculation surrounding her. “The way some of you talk about me, it feels like I’m a headline or a filter—not an actual person,” she added. She noted that, sadly, many of the harsh comments come from women, making it all the more disheartening.

Reflecting on her public journey since age 21, Burke mentioned the various changes she’s undergone, saying, “My body has changed over the past 20 years. I’ve dealt with trauma, divorces, and a lot of personal growth.” She also mentioned being in a pretty vulnerable place, admitting that she has been struggling with various issues just like anyone else.

Despite her recent divorce from Matthew Lawrence, Burke emphasized a significant shift in her life. “What’s really changed for me is my passion and my commitment to using this platform for something genuine.” She acknowledged that the pressure to prove her worth in the industry has been quite tough.

Burke maintains her commitment to mental health and body positivity, though she admitted she’s approaching it differently now. “I’m still the same person, but perhaps I’m a bit quieter and more discerning now,” she said. She remarked on the tone she observes on social media, characterizing some platforms as more hostile than supportive, particularly the interactions among women.

Finally, Burke urged those who thrive on speculation and negativity to reconsider their approach. “If you’re here to compare or critique, then maybe this isn’t the space for you. But if you’re looking to grow and support, then welcome,” she concluded.
