Chet Holmgren’s choice of attire at the wedding of his OKC teammate Alex Caruso and “Big Brother” alum Hailey Bloucher caught attention in Houston over the weekend.
The towering power forward donned a maroon dress shirt, sunglasses, and an eye-catching all-white checkered suit, accessorized with a gold chain.
Once the couple shared photos from their wedding on social media, Holmgren faced some backlash, mainly because, traditionally, white is reserved for the bride in Western culture.
One comment questioned, “Why is it so rude to wear someone else’s white at a wedding?” while another remarked, “Chet is dressed like he didn’t get invited.”
Another observer even likened Holmgren’s look to “Elvis impersonation.” Interestingly, he wasn’t the only guest donning white; fellow teammate Guardzak Lavigne from the Sacramento Kings also wore an all-white suit, complemented by a Van Cleef and Arpels necklace, as shown in Instagram posts by his wife, Hunter.
Holmgren shared a Snapchat photo with other OKC teammates, including Lugenz Dort, Jaylin Williams, Isaiah Joe, Isaiah Hartenstein, Cason Wallace, and Branden Carlson.
Since their establishment in 2008, the OKC Thunder have celebrated their inaugural championship title as a franchise.
Coby White, Jabonte Green, and Ayo Dosunmu, who once played alongside Caruso with the Chicago Bulls from 2021 to 2024, were also in attendance and snapped pictures at the ceremony in Astrian.
In a notable moment, Holmgren posted a group photo after the OKC teammates celebrated their victory over the Pacers in Game 7, securing the 2025 NBA Finals during Caruso’s wedding festivities.
Twin NBA champion Broucher, a former “Big Brother” contestant, announced their engagement on Instagram in August 2024.
On Instagram, Broucher reflected, “A night to remember,” sharing highlights of the reception captured by wedding content creator BTS Bride.
The video featured the newlyweds making their grand entrance, dancing, and cutting the cake, mixed with moments of fun among Holmgren’s teammates.
