Chevron Begins Key Oil Project in Gulf of America

Chevron announced a massive project on Monday, beginning oil and natural gas production from Barrymore Sub-Sea Tieback in the US Gulf.

Located in the Mississippi Canyon area, Barrymore is known as the “undersea tieback.” This means that the discoveries can be utilized on existing platforms using three wells tied to blind faith facilities operated by already in their positions.

The fact sheet provided to Breitbart News points out that this is much more efficient as the project leverages “standardized equipment, repeatable engineering solutions and existing transportation infrastructure.”

In addition to the reality that Chevron is striving to maintain “one of the world’s lowest carbon-strength oil and natural gas basins,” this will help Chevron with the goal of producing 300,000 barrels of oil per day by 2026 in the United States alone.

Currently, the US Gulf oil accounts for one for every six barrels of domestic oil production. They estimate that Ballymore can recover 150 million barrels of oil equivalents across the project’s scope.

“Barrymore is an example of how technology can be used to promote efficiency to produce affordable, reliable energy from the US Gulf, one of the world’s lowest carbon-strength oil and gas production basins.

“Ballymore, completed on budget, brings additional production online without building a new standalone offshore platform,” he continued. “This is expected to reduce development costs and increase shareholder returns.”

Chevron believes that Ballymore Project is showing the company’s commitment to reducing the energy costs of Americans, and showcasing the use of its own resources in an efficient and responsible way.

This massive announcement follows several other major milestones that Chevron has highlighted since President Donald Trump. – Those who ran on platforms that included America’s energy domination won the presidential election. November, Chevron announcement That Tahiti Field produced 500 million barrels of oil equivalent.

“The total production from this field is sufficient to supply 11.5 million homes a year,” the press release said, putting this in further context.

A few months later, January, Chevron announcement The beginning of oil production from the semi-submersible whales platform in the Gulf of America.

“Production from whales will bring Chevron closer to reaching 300,000 barrels of oil worth per day in the Gulf of Mexico by 2026.” Bruce Niemeyer, president of Chevron Americas Exploration & Production I said In a statement from the time.

“As the Gulf Coast’s leading leaseholder of producing the world’s lowest carbon-strength oil and natural gas, Chevron is well positioned to continue expanding affordable and reliable production in the United States, offering higher returns and cash flow,” he added.

Overall, Chevron’s project aligns with the Trump administration’s goal of reducing consumer energy costs while making America’s energy domination a reality.

Shortly after he took office in his second term, President Donald Trump signature The executive order establishing the National Energy Control Council was chaired by Doug Burgham’s Secretary of Home Affairs along with the Energy Secretary, who is vice-chaired by the Energy Secretary.

The council is like that appointed By advising Trump on “a strategy to achieve energy domination by improving the permit, production, production, distribution, regulation and transportation processes across all forms of America’s energy.” It also includes working with stakeholders in both the private and public sectors to “expand energy production and address cost barriers.”

“This is a big deal,” Trump said at the time. “We have more energy than any other country, but now we’ve unleashed it and it works.”
