Chicago Woman Kills Alleged Home Intruder In Shootout

A Chicago woman shot and killed an alleged intruder after a shootout just after 6:40 a.m. Wednesday.

Fox 32 Reported Two alleged intruders entered the woman's home and “brought a gun on them,” prompting the 23-year-old woman to pull out her own gun and open fire.

A shootout ensued, and one of the two alleged intruders was shot in the chest.

ABC7 No. 7 attention The wounded suspect was taken to a hospital where he later died. Neither the homeowner nor any other alleged intruders were injured in the shootout.

Chicago police noted that the female homeowner possessed a Firearm Owners Identification Card (FOID) and was therefore a legal gun owner.
