Chicken nuggets shaped like Dallas Cowboys star logo debut: ‘Even more crunch’

  • November 28, 2024

Fans of the American team will be able to eat American Nuggets.

The Dallas Cowboys got their own chicken nuggets just in time for Thanksgiving.

The chicken nuggets, made by Arkansas-based Tyson Foods, are shaped like the team's iconic star logo. (See the video at the top of this article.)

The star-shaped Nugget will make his AT&T Stadium debut Thursday afternoon against the New York Giants.

Tyson has made team-inspired nuggets in the past, choosing his hometown Arkansas Razorbacks as his first collegiate team, with a design shaped like a pig mascot.

But this is the first time an NFL team has had its own nugget.

Christina Lambert, Tyson's senior vice president of poultry farming, told FOX News Digital, “There's been a lot of ideas thrown around and offered around the building around different shapes that we can do.” he said.

“But between the two traditional companies and family ties, it was definitely a natural fit to create Cowboy Nuggets next.”

Team owner Jerry Jones grew up in Arkansas and was a close friend of the late Don Tyson, president and CEO of Tyson Foods from 1967 to 1991.

Luxurious and delicious “Stay Marriage Chicken'' is “definitely effective,'' says a family-oriented creator.

Even Cowboys fans who don't attend a game at AT&T Stadium this season can get a taste of the nugget. Nuggets are available only at Dallas area grocery stores.

“There are some guardrails around where you can get that product,” Lambert said of the product's limited reach, at least for now.

Tyson is known for making dinosaur-shaped nuggets for kids, but Cowboys nuggets aren't just for kids.

Lambert said adults are “eating nuggets again” or “eating more nuggets because we're giving them more ways to enjoy them.”

The edge of the star has “more crunch.”

Lambert said the shape is as much part of the appeal as the taste, noting that the star-shaped nuggets have a “crunchy texture on the outside” similar to dinosaur nuggets.

She said the star's edges were “more crunchy.”

“There is a slight problem with the shape, but [it] …For people who like texture,” Lambert said.

Tyson also pledged to donate $1 from every Star Nugget purchased in stores or at the stadium to the Salvation Army, up to $100,000.

“At this time of year, in the spirit of giving… but also giving back to them.” [who] “I think it's personally very exciting for myself and many of our team members here to be contributing to the community in this way,” Lambert said.

Jones said in a prepared statement that the Nuggets made “a game-winning play for all Cowboys fans.”

Fans of the other 31 NFL franchises may be wondering if their team can become the next Chicken Nugget.

“I can definitely say there will be discussions,” Lambert said, hinting at the possibility.
