A Missouri hospital confirmed Friday that people who attended a frigid January wild-card round game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins had to undergo amputations due to frostbite.

Research Medical Center in Kansas City said 12 patients were treated for frostbite during the cold snap two months ago, including some from the Jan. 13 game at Arrowhead Stadium. , announced that most of his fingers and toes had to be amputated.

The hospital also said more surgeries are expected in the next two to four weeks.
