Chiefs’ Isaiah Buggs allegedly dragged mother of child down stairs

Details surrounding the recent arrest of Chiefs guard Isaiah Buggs emerged Tuesday, raising some disturbing allegations against the defensive lineman.

Buggs is accused of dragging the child’s mother down the stairs, injuring her in the process, after the woman told Buggs she was going to call police and left the scene. According to court documents viewed by TMZ.

According to court documents, the alleged victim told police that Buggs, 27, broke into her Tuscaloosa, Alabama, home around 5:28 a.m. Sunday with a tire iron and then went up to the second floor.

During the confrontation, she claims Buggs’ actions broke several clip-on fingernails, and police noticed “scratches” on the woman’s arms from the incident, TMZ reports.

Buggs was charged with domestic violence and theft.

The power line worker was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a 24-hour domestic violence mandatory hold, with bail set at $5,000. According to Tuscaloosa Patch.

This is Buggs’ second arrest in a month, having been arrested in May on two counts of second-degree animal cruelty.

Buggs is also accused of shoving Tuscaloosa Police Chief Brent Blankley in April and pointing a gun at patrons at King’s Hooker Lounge, which Buggs owns.

A Tuscaloosa County District Court judge revoked Buggs’ bail on Monday following his arrest over the weekend on an alleged domestic violence incident, according to the Tuscaloosa Patch.

As part of its motion to revoke Buggs’ bail, the state argued that Sunday’s arrest violated the defendant’s previous bail conditions.

Buggs has pleaded innocent of the other charges, and his attorney, Trey Robinson, has said they were part of an “ongoing campaign of destruction” to shut down a hookah lounge he runs in Tuscaloosa.
