Football fans have been waiting for Thursday night's NFL kickoff game for months. Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens.
We'll have to wait a little longer.
Thunderstorms moving through the area forced referees to close the field and kickoff for the AFC Championship rematch was postponed to 8:40 p.m. ET due to lightning strikes around GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
An hour before scheduled kickoff, officials cleared the field and instructed fans to move to the concourse due to the weather in the area.

Shortly after that message, the storm cleared from the area, but the league announced the scheduled kickoff would be postponed until 8:40 p.m.

The storm produced some incredible scenes, including lightning striking close to the stadium.

Then the storm passed and a rainbow appeared.
