Chiefs’ Super Bowl ring appears to come with a ridiculous typo

The Chiefs’ third Super Bowl victory in the last five years may come with a slight caveat.

The 14.8-carat rings feature 529 diamonds and 38 rubies and are priced at approximately $40,000 each, although it’s possible that there was a typo.

The jewelry features a list of the teams Kansas City defeated on its way to winning its second consecutive championship in February, including a first-round win over the Miami Dolphins, who were listed as the seventh seed in the AFC but were actually the sixth seed.

It remains to be seen whether this mistake was reflected in the actual ring.

A few soccer fans noticed the mistake and posted about it on X.

“Having a typo on such an expensive ring is exactly the kind of mistake I made and it’s a mistake I’ll never forget.” One user wrote:

“@Chiefs made a typo and gave every player a ring…Miami was #6 not #7. Woah.” another wrote.

Fans got a glimpse inside the ring ceremony through quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, who shared the experience on her Instagram Story.

In the clip, Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce can be seen excitedly figuring out the code to open their personalized ring box and see their new ring inside.

Brittany was not with her partner and Kelsey’s girlfriend, pop megastar Taylor Swift, who attended 13 games last season and is currently on tour in the UK.

However, Swift managed to tune in to a live stream from Liverpool to support Kelsey and the Chiefs.

Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker also attended with his wife, Isabel, about a month after his controversial commencement speech at Benedictine University in Kansas.
