Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelles was watching the downcast as he walked the field at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans following the defeat of the Super Bowl LIX by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Kelse's performance was far from what Chiefs and NFL fans are used to seeing at big moments. The tough, low catch he normally makes was not made on Sunday nights. He had four catches with six targets for 39 yards in the game.

The broadcast caught Kelse walking from the field. He then briefly spoke about the 40-22 loss.
“We haven't done that bad all year round. If everything isn't bad, you won't lose that way,” he said.
The question Kelce faces now is whether he will return to chief for another season. The 35-year-old production has been clearly declining since the 2024 season. There was a moment when he showed his own flash of light with his prime, but that was far from what Kansas City had previously received from him.

Rumors after his retirement swirled around him in the final week of the year.
“I'll let Travis make that decision myself,” Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes said after the game. “He still knows he has a lot of football left, meaning you can see it. He always plays at the biggest moments, but he's going there. So if he wants to put that crush on, then play 20 games and reach the Super Bowl, whatever it is.
