The Kansas City Chiefs scored early in Wednesday afternoon's Christmas Day game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy catches a 7-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes., And the Chiefs won 6-0.
Worthy appeared to be having a Christmas-themed celebration with his teammates, then lifted his shirt.

NFL officials penalized Worthy for the play. But fans were confused as to why the flag was thrown. Some suggested that Worthy may have been pretending to have a gun. Gun-themed celebrations have been a topic of discussion among players.
Mahomes threw his second touchdown pass of the game, an 11-yard pass to wide receiver Justin Watson late in the first quarter.

The Chiefs have struggled all season, but entered Week 17 against the Steelers with a 14-1 record.
Worthy has been a bright spot in a receiving corps that has been decimated by injuries. He has 51 catches for 559 yards and five touchdown catches this season. He also scored three rushing touchdowns.
Last week, Worthy had seven catches for 65 yards and one touchdown catch against the Houston Texans. Achieved double-digit goals for two weeks in a row. Before the game against the Cleveland Browns, he had never had more than eight targets in a game.
