The flames tearing through the gorgeous London hotel popular with celebrities were caused by the falling of wood from the pizza oven.
The Chiltern Fire Station, which was scheduled to host a star-studded Bahta Film Awards party on Sunday evening, was partially destroyed by a Valentine's Day fire.
According to London Fire Brigade (LFB), the fire spread through ducts to a four-storey hotel in central London, damaging half of the first and second floors, destroying the third and roofs .
Firefighters said the flames “incorrectly started when they fell out of the pizza oven and burned wood and set the blank between the basement and the first floor.
The Marylebone hotel was a fire station in the 1880s.
It has been reused as a 5-star hotel and is regularly featured in celebrities.
“We're a great opportunity to see the world,” said Paul McCourt, deputy committee member of the LFB. Firefighters who presented complex fires at the previous Manchester Square Fire Station, a historically important building, successfully trapped the fire and prevented it from spreading to nearby facilities. ”
About 100 people were evacuated and there were no injuries as a result of the flames. This was worked on by about 125 firefighters using 20 fire trucks.
