During the trial, Shawn “Diddy” Combs’ attorneys questioned Kathy Ventura about an incident where Combs became upset, believing she was dancing with Chris Brown.
“When do you remember? Did you think you were dancing with Chris Brown?” attorney Anna Estevao asked Ventura.
“I would, but I wasn’t dancing with Chris Brown,” she responded.
The conversation then shifted to another topic after this brief exchange.
Chris Brown is just one of several celebrities mentioned in court. On Thursday, Britney Spears also made an appearance, as Combs had invited her to Ventura’s 21st birthday celebration in Las Vegas.
Additionally, actor Michael B. Jordan and rapper Kid Cudi were mentioned due to their past relationships with Ventura.
In court, it was revealed that Combs had taken Ventura’s phone during a car ride. Ventura recounted an event from August 2016 when Combs ran onto Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles to retrieve the phone. She mentioned that her mother had to call the police when they returned home without communication.
Estevao characterized this situation as yet another instance of Combs’ jealousy.
While the identity of a specific athlete was not disclosed, Ventura confirmed he was an NFL player at that time.
“He was upset because he suspected you of cheating, correct?” Estevao inquired.
“I don’t know if I would call it cheating at that point,” Ventura replied.
