Chris Cuomo reveals he voted for his brother in presidential election

Journalist Chris Cuomo told Bill Maher that he wrote his name on the ballot and voted for his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D).

“I got a little bit of heat from people who voted for the presidential candidate,” Chris Cuomo said in a Friday clip on Maher's “Real Time” show. mediate.

Maher was shocked when Chris revealed that it was his brother Andrew who resigned as governor over sexual assault allegations.

“And I misspelled his name, so I don't think it matters, but the choice made against me was unacceptable to this country,” Cuomo explained.

“Really? You couldn't vote for Kamala Harris?” Maher asked.

Mr. Cuomo reaffirmed his choice, claiming that Democrats had been an “embarrassment” this election cycle.

“There's a lot more that could have been done, but we feel like we deserve better than this,” Cuomo said. “The process that Democrats put us through was an embarrassment to them.”

Democrats have been quick to point the finger at Vice President Harris' loss to President-elect Trump in the election, as well as Republicans gaining majorities in the House and Senate.

Many party leaders blame the shift on Democratic messages that did not resonate with voters' stances on immigration and the economy outlined in exit polls.
