Chris Jones Seeking Love After Split

Chris Jones, a star on the Chiefs, seems to be on the lookout for a new relationship following his recent breakup with longtime girlfriend Sheauna Weathersby.

In a video from the Chiefs training camp, players shared items from their bucket lists, and Jones expressed some heartfelt sentiments regarding love. “I just want to get married, I just want to be loved,” he mentioned on TikTok, a clip that was shared by the Chiefs’ official account this week.

His comments come in the wake of Weathersby accusing him of cheating, which she mentioned in an Instagram post four months ago. She stated she ended their nine-year relationship, saying, “I choose to focus positively as I close this chapter.” Her decision, as she explained, stemmed from his actions, which she described as an affair.

Jones, 31, hasn’t directly addressed the cheating allegations, although he did previously share a photo on social media that led to speculation.

In the aftermath, Weathersby has claimed to face harassment and disrespect, describing how she’s received calls and messages from anonymous accounts, prompting her to change her contact numbers.

Earlier this year, Jones tweeted about being single. Meanwhile, Weathersby has cultivated friendships with other significant others from the Chiefs, including Taylor Swift, who is often seen at games with her partner, Travis Kelce.

Together, Jones and Weathersby have two children: Christopher Jones II, 6, and Carson Dakota. They had been in a relationship since at least November 2015, which was notably a few months before he was drafted 37th overall by the Chiefs in 2016.

Last season, Jones recorded impressive stats, including 75 pressures, 29 quarterback hits, and 10.5 sacks over 16 games. In March 2024, he signed a substantial five-year contract extension worth $158.75 million.
