Chris Jones Changes Mind on Russell Wilson Jersey

Chris Jones has given up his quest to trade for a Russell Wilson jersey. In a recent interview with NBC’s Melissa Stark, he expressed some frustrations over his years-long attempt to get one.

When asked if he would try again for the jersey, Jones made it clear that he had shifted his perspective. “I never got it. I don’t want it,” he said after the Chiefs secured a 22-9 victory over the Giants on Sunday night at MetLife Stadium. “It’s all good. Honestly, over time, I just realized I don’t want it now.”

Meanwhile, Wilson faced a tough game, completing only 18 of 32 passes for a mere 180 yards, with two interceptions and no touchdowns. The Giants, unfortunately, dropped to 0-3 on the season.

Not too long ago, Wilson had a standout performance, completing 30 of 41 passes for 450 yards, along with three touchdowns and an interception, during a 40-37 overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys on September 14th.

During the game against the Chiefs, the atmosphere was tense, with Wilson being booed by fans at the Giants’ home opener. Some even chanted for rookie quarterback Jackson Dart to take his place.

After the game, Wilson reflected on the ups and downs of being a quarterback, saying, “There are always tough moments. You need to have thick skin, you know? It’s essential to understand who you are as a player.” He pointed out that despite the challenges, he had shown resilience throughout his career.

Jones didn’t hold back his thoughts about Wilson’s struggles following the season’s first game. “On time,” he remarked. “It’s been a while.”
