Chris Kreider ended Rangers’ power-play drought at perfect time

Highlights from Game 6, where the Rangers defeated the Hurricanes 5-3 on Thursday night to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.

1. Chris Kreider

Who else but Kreider, who gave the Rangers the lead with a natural hat trick in the third period after Carolina led 3-1 through the first 40 minutes?

Chris Kreider told his Rangers teammates he would score in the third period of the Game 6 win against the Hurricanes. Jason Zenz writes for the New York Post

2. Vincent Trocheck

After a great night with this trio, anyone on the second line can go here, but Trocheck was credited with a second-period goal.

3. Jordan Martinook

In the end, it made no difference to the outcome, but Martinook’s Superman dive to stop Ryan Lindgren’s would-be goal in the second period was the best individual play of the series and deserves some recognition.
