Chris Long Comments on Bad Bunny’s Halftime Show
Two-time Super Bowl champion Chris Long shared his thoughts on the halftime show featuring Bad Bunny during Super Bowl LX, expressing confusion over men who appeared to dislike it. Long, age 40, mentioned on his podcast that he found the music enjoyable, even if he wasn’t familiar with the lyrics.
He remarked, “I’ve never seen so many white men on TV suddenly act like they hate big-assed Latinos.” Despite not typically caring about halftime performances, he acknowledged the impressive set design, which he described as vibrant and lively, even joking about a wedding taking place on stage.
Long noted that while he does think the halftime show was good, he was curious about another performance, dubbed the “All-American Halftime Show” by TPUSA, which featured artists like Kid Rock and Brantley Gilbert. This counterpart was streamed on YouTube simultaneously with Bad Bunny’s show.
Surprisingly, Bad Bunny’s performance not only attracted attention from fans but also drew criticism from former President Donald Trump, who labeled it the worst show he had ever seen. Despite this, the Seattle Seahawks fans seemed to have a great time, as their team won against the New England Patriots with a score of 29-13, securing their second Super Bowl victory.
Bad Bunny’s show also included surprise appearances from stars like Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, and it concluded with a powerful message: “The only thing more powerful than hate is love.”
Chris Long, who played in the NFL for 11 seasons, had a successful career, clinching Super Bowl titles with the New England Patriots in 2016 and the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017. Over his career, he amassed 332 tackles and 70 sacks during 162 regular season games.
