Chris Martin’s Heartfelt Message at Coldplay’s Final Show

During Coldplay’s last concert of their recent tour, lead singer Chris Martin shared an unexpected and touching message with the audience.

The band performed a series of ten shows at Wembley Stadium in London, attracting roughly 80,000 fans at each event.

In the midst of the concert, Martin engaged with the crowd multiple times, particularly while performing the band’s 2005 hit, “Fix You,” when he expressed heartfelt thoughts to their fans.

“We pray.”

“For the last few years in London, I want you to raise your hands like this and send love wherever it’s needed in the world,” he began. “There are so many places that might need it today.”

The 48-year-old encouraged attendees to lift their hands high, saying, “From here in London, we can send it to your brother or sister. We can send it to families facing terrible circumstances, including Charlie Kirk’s family.” Fans, including some connected to Kirk, responded positively to these messages, particularly as Martin mentioned additional places for sending love.

“You can send it to those you might disagree with, but send love their way anyway. You can send it to peaceful people in the Middle East, Ukraine, and Russia,” he added before starting the song.

“All teardrops are waterfalls.”

The day after the performance, some online commenters expressed their discontent regarding Martin’s mention of Kirk.

A woman commented, “Charlie Kirk? Really?” on Coldplay’s Instagram, while another fan shared, “I experienced such a range of emotions at the concert, and then I had to read this about Kirk. Seriously? My world feels shaken.”

These critical comments, however, were quickly overshadowed by an outpouring of positive responses from fans who embraced the message of love Martin intended to share.

A video showcasing the singer’s remarks was soon filled with supportive reactions.

A fellow singer, Mary Milben, commented, “So beautiful. Thank you for saying this.”

Another fan, Brittany Aldean, expressed her appreciation with heart-eye emojis.

“Viva La Vida”

Not only did the Coldplay post radiate positivity, but by the time the band shared a video of their tour’s conclusion, it seemed like the earlier controversy had faded from fans’ minds, resulting in a wave of supportive comments.

One fan simply said, “My summer highlights,” while another added, “I wish I could experience it again.”

Coldplay’s tours are now recorded as some of the most attended in history, boasting over 13 million tickets sold, surpassing Taylor Swift’s upcoming tour and others from the past.
