Chris Pratt Touched by Seahawks’ Courageous Belief: ‘Strong, Manly’ Men Praising God

Mike Macdonald of the Seahawks Speaks After Super Bowl Victory: 'God Chose Me to Be a Coach'

Actor Chris Pratt, known for his faith, found unexpected inspiration while watching his favorite Seattle Seahawks players. He and his son attended Super Bowl LX in February, where the Seahawks notably defeated the New England Patriots 29-13, earning their first championship title since the 2013-2014 season.

Pratt shared his excitement about the experience on NBC’s Today, stating, “That was one of the best moments of our lives. It was so cool.” However, he emphasized that the highlight was when they were welcomed into the Seahawks’ locker room after the game.

He recalled, “We were invited to watch the celebration. It was quite a surprise for both me and my son. The first thing the players did—these world champions—was kneel down and offer a big prayer. They invited us to join, and we held hands.” Pratt expressed how amazing it was for his son to witness these strong, accomplished men immediately giving praise to God. “I thought it was incredible,” he added.

Faith plays a central role in the Seahawks’ 2025-26 season, with several players and staff, including wide receiver Jackson Smith-Njigba and head coach Mike McDonald, openly discussing their beliefs.

In his Instagram introduction, Pratt mentioned, “God comes first. I’m grateful to be here,” reflecting on the importance of faith in his life. He quoted Christian author Christine Cain, saying, “If the light shining on you is greater than the light inside you, the light shining on you will kill you.” He connected this thought to the challenges faced by Hollywood celebrities, whom he described as “unlucky.”

“People often have a spotlight on them, which can lead to unhappiness and anxiety, steering focus away from what is truly beneficial,” he said, adding that his faith provides grounding for him and his family.
