Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Kristen Harper talked about quarterback husband Jared Goff's Lions career after Detroit's 31-9 win over the Vikings on Sunday to win their second straight NFC North title. I looked back.
On Monday, Harper took to his Instagram Stories to reshare the video from the SI Swim beach photoshoot and react to Goff's first win as Lions quarterback on Dec. 5, 2021, against Minnesota.
The video shows Harper pausing his shot and Goff throwing a walk-off touchdown pass to wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown on the final play of the game, 29 against the Vikings at Ford Field. He was shown watching a replay of the team's 27-game victory.
At this point, the team had 0 wins, 10 losses, and 1 draw.
That was after Goff was traded from the Rams in January 2021 for veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford.
“From my first win 4 years ago when I was last on the @si_swimsuit set to now!!!” Harper, 31, wrote after watching Sunday's game. “A truly proud B2B category champion!!!”
With Sunday's win in the regular season finale, Detroit clinched the NFC's No. 1 seed, a first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
The Lions (15-2) are the No. 1 seed for the first time in franchise history.
Harper looked stunning in a yellow bikini, but as seen in the video above, she was unable to attend the 2021 competition due to filming for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Newcomer of the Year award.
She has been officially named the 2022 SI Swimsuit Co-Rookie of the Year, along with her best friend, fitness model Katie Austin. The pair was selected in the publication's 2021 Swim Search.
“Shut up! Shut up!” Harper yells in the clip after hearing the Lions get their first win of 2021. This is crazy!
Goff completed 25 of 41 attempts for 296 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in that long-ago victory over Minnesota.
Since then, the franchise has undergone an incredible transformation, led primarily by Goff and head coach Dan Campbell, who was away from Los Angeles.
