Christina Hall is receiving support from her first husband as she navigates her divorce from her third husband, Josh Hall.
“Life is hard, and bad things happen,” says Tarek El Moussa, who was married to Christina from 2009 to 2018. He told E! News.
“We only have one life, and we have to do what’s best for us. So whatever she needs, we’re here to help.”
Christina, 41, and Josh, 43, were due to star in a new competition show alongside El Moussa and his wife Heather Rae Young, but following their split, the show will go ahead as planned without Josh.
“We’re rooting for her,” Young, 36, said, adding that she’s confident the “Christina on the Coast” star will “get through this.”
Josh shocked fans last week when he filed for divorce from Christina after nearly three years of marriage. He cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the separation and set the separation date as July 8.
According to the lawsuit, Josh sought alimony payments from his estranged wife and wanted the court to suspend his authority to award her financial support.
The former couple don’t have any children together, so she doesn’t have to worry about child support or custody issues, but she does have two children, Taylor, 13, and Brayden, 8, with El Moussa, and Hudson, 4, with her second husband, Ant Anstead.
Because the Halls did not have a prenuptial agreement, the real estate agent demanded “an equal division of all property acquired during the marriage, except as a gift or bequest,” including their home in Newport Beach, California.
Shortly after news of her divorce became public, the “Christina in the Country” host deleted photos from the couple’s wedding from her Instagram account, as well as posts about the start of her then-secret romance with Josh.
Neither Christina nor Josh have publicly spoken about their split, but the former “Flip or Flop” star sent a message by running errands without his wedding ring.
It’s unclear what sparked the split, but a source told People magazine that the couple’s marriage had been “troubled for quite some time” before Josh decided to officially call it quits.
