House Democrats Shift Focus to Impeachment of Health Secretary
After failing to impeach President Donald Trump, House Democrats have directed their efforts towards Health and Human Services Secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., accusing him of neglecting scientific guidance.
One commentator noted, “He’s abandoning science because he disagrees with Dr. Fauci, who represents that science. I think that might be part of their reasoning.” Sarah Gonzalez from Blaze TV shared her skepticism about their motives.
She remarked on the current political landscape, suggesting, “It’s obvious the Democrats don’t hold a strong position right now. Clearly, nothing will go anywhere with this. It’s all just theatrics.” Gonzalez also recalled how Rep. Haley Stevens (D-Mich.) made a spectacle of herself back in 2020 while wearing latex gloves and shouting during House discussions about COVID-19.
“These are the folks spearheading the move to impeach RFK Jr.,” she reflected. “It’s surprising that anyone could invent reasons for impeachment.”
She mused further, “If we’re just creating reasons to impeach, why not let Republicans play by these new rules? We could take that energy and target some Democrats too.”
This line of thinking led Gonzalez to propose a tongue-in-cheek “impeachment countdown” in the spirit of the holidays.
“On the first day of impeachment… who would that be? Maybe Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.)? What’s her alleged crime? ‘Because I’m drunk,’” she quipped.
In her humorous list, she intended to impeach Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) next for “marrying her brother,” and then Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) for a shocking accusation. She even suggested going after Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) for the same alleged offense.
On day five, she eyeing a “pencil-neck” like Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) for charges of mortgage fraud, adding, “Let’s be real: none of these people are actually convicted.” She joked about various accusations against other lawmakers, wrapping up with a light-hearted jab at Beto O’Rourke, calling him “an embarrassment to Texas.”
“I’m just saying,” she added with a chuckle. “Republicans need to be bold.”
