Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) joins a picket line rally with striking United Auto Workers (UAW) members in Tappan, New York, as Democrats seek to block former President Donald Trump. Schumer’s appearance coincided with President Joe Biden picketing with UAW members in Michigan, and President Trump, who is likely to become the president’s rival in 2024, appeared in the Republican primary debate. He took this action for the first time after announcing a trip to Michigan in lieu of attending the convention.

As detailed by Breitbart News, “In an effort to push for higher wages amid high inflation and heavy government subsidies for electric vehicles (EVs), the UAW They laid off factory jobs. These are all characteristics of “Bidenomics.””
Additionally, the UAW endorsed Biden in 2020 but has not yet endorsed Biden in 2024.

Mr. Trump continued to court union members, warning that Mr. Biden’s environmental policies would kill Michigan’s auto industry and boost China.
“If Crooked Joe Biden’s crazy concept of ‘all electric cars’ goes into effect, there will be no more auto industry in Michigan,” President Trump said in a Labor Day Truth social post. “China will take everything. 100%. United Auto Workers, please vote for Trump.”
“Let’s get our leaders to support me. I’ll keep all these great jobs and bring in even more. Choices in schools, and choices in cars!!!” he added did.
