Claudine Gay a Casualty of Right’s ‘Open War on Black Progress’

MSNBC anchor Joy Reid said Tuesday on “The ReidOut” that former Harvard University president Claudine Gay is a victim of the right's “open war against black progress.”

Mr. Reed said: “I just want to focus on something else. Because there's something else going on. There's this kind of open war on Black progress, Black history. At least resign. Claudine Gay, previously president of Harvard University, is its latest victim.

She continued: “Christopher Rufo, who was outside touting, high-fiving and demanding Claudine Gaye's scalp, telegraphed that this is what they were going to do. They were trying to eliminate college DEI professors by associating them with BLM, decolonization, and Hamas in the public consciousness. He is now claiming victory. He said this is a campaign. Why are these elite universities capitulating to that and essentially making it so uncomfortable that these female leaders have to step down to be replaced by white men? That's why Christopher -This is the goal of Rufo and his friends.

She further added, “There's no intellectual research being done about it. They're poaching women and people of color to lead elite universities and giving them the people they like, the people who taught universities in the 50s, to I’m just trying to give you that.”
