Clay Holmes a linchpin to unlocking Mets’ rotation

Port St. Lucy – When the Mets arrived at spring training, their intention was to go in a rotation of six from the start of the regular season.

Tensions for one Frankie Montas Ratt later, Carlos Mendoza's current Lean said he told the Post that he would go in a five-person rotation for the first three weeks of the season. That's because they'll have at least five days of rest until April 16th, or until the 18th game of the season.

David Stearns suggested the nuance potential that means a fifth-place starter, but every five games, could potentially accumulate a fifth-place spot earlier. Imagine in full health that Locke is Clay Holmes, Sean Mania, David Peterson, and Kodai Senga. The fifth spot is tandem, and you can choose between Paul Blackburn, Griffin Canning, and Tyrol Megill. There are minor league options. Blackburn and canned food are not the case. MCGI

The Mets have not solidified their decision as their first spring training game will not be until Saturday when Holmes begins. A short start or injury can destroy your strategy.
