OutKick Clay Travis founder may never be allowed to return to CNN.
That's because, as Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report” puts it, he “said something true that really upset the host.”
“I'm a First Amendment absolutist,” Travis said, before adding, “There's only two things I absolutely believe in: the First Amendment and boobs.”
“Wait a minute, as the woman who anchors the show, I just want to make sure I heard you correctly. Did you just say that? What did you just say?” host Brooke Baldwin said with a look of disgust on her face. I asked, wrinkled.
“Boobs,” Travis confirmed. “Two things have never let me down in the entire history of this country: the First Amendment and boobs. So those are the only two things I absolutely believe in in this country.”
Baldwin wasn't happy with Travis, but after all these years, Baldwin, a sports fan, is still happy with himself.
“It was a symbol of how you can never apologize for feelings that aren't genuine. I've been married for 20 years, believe me, I've apologized a lot,” Travis tells Rubin. “But this does not apply to trumped-up outrageous acts.”
