Liberals have long been promoting “clean energy” solutions. Many of them are now found to be anything other than “clean.”
The $1.6 billion Ivanpah “Clean Energy” project based on the Obama administration is one of them. This is because after killing thousands of birds and turtles, they are secretly reliant on natural gas to drive.
“We would like to share one new development that was made possible by the Clean Energy Incentives launched this month. At Mojave Desert, a company called Bright Source is planning to break the ground with a new type of solar power plant,” Obama said in a 2010 statement.
“We are planning to put around 1,000 people to build a state-of-the-art facility, and once it's done, the sunlight will turn into energy that drives up to 140,000 homes, the world's largest plant. Not in China, not in India, but in California,” he added.

The Ivanpah plant grows to over 3,500 acres.
“The factory has long been criticized for the environmental trade-offs associated with large-scale energy production in sensitive desert regions. The rays from the plant mirrors have been criticized for incinerating thousands of birds. An Associated Press article states that conservation groups attempt to halt construction of the site due to the threat of turtles.
“Now we were told this was a great success for the environment. They were told it would save the environment. But at the same time, we were incinerating the turtles.” Stu Burguiere It's called “Stu Does America.”
“So these poor little turtles are really, really slow across the desert and cooked in a 9,000-degree light beam,” he added, “what you'd expect from a government program.”
