Clear Increase in Military Sign-ups During Trump Administration

Christina Won, a former Pentagon correspondent for Breitbart News, observed that there has indeed been a notable increase in military enlistments during the Trump administration.

In a conversation with host Matthew Boyle, Won stated that Navy recruitment not only surged under Trump but also met the recruitment goal of 40,600 future sailors for 2025.

Won’s remarks followed President Trump’s endorsement of the rising US Navy enlistment, where he referenced a piece that highlighted the Navy reaching its 2025 recruitment target three months early.

“This is a significant achievement. It represents a major shift for the Navy and the military, especially compared to the challenges faced over the past five years when recruitment was in crisis,” she noted.

“There are various factors at play. While mainstream media might argue that this surge isn’t solely due to the Trump administration, data clearly indicates a rise during his tenure. It also seems the Navy made several adjustments,” she explained.

“Starting in April 2024, we initiated a future sailor preparation course aimed at recruits who may be slightly overweight, along with other changes like enhanced enlistment bonuses and raising the maximum enlistment age from 39 to 41,” Wong added.

Wong then discussed statistics, mentioning that “by March 2025, there was a 50% increase in new recruits across the military compared to the same time last year.”

“By March 2025, the military had 50% more new recruits than in March 2024, even with the Biden administration in charge. Specifically, in the Navy, as of April 2023, they had only achieved 60% capacity.”
