Hollywood star Harrison Ford, who has been a vocal advocate of climate change activism, was reportedly recently spotted exiting a private jet on his way to celebrate his wife, actress Calista Flockhart's birthday.
According to the Daily Mail, Harrison Ford was photographed exiting a jet in Los Angeles on Monday, the day after Flockhart's 60th birthday. report. The actor flies regularly on a private jet and has been photographed many times in the past despite supporting climate change activism.
Ford called the effects of climate change “the greatest moral crisis of our time” in a 2019 video. The following year, he said of impending climate disaster: “This shit is going to destroy us.”
He also supported Greta Thunberg, saying young climate change activists like her represent a “moral army”.
None of these declarations appear to have deterred Harrison Ford from using a private jet whose carbon footprint far exceeds that of the average American's annual output.
Harrison Ford recently endorsed Kamala Harris' bid for the White House, claiming that she and her running mate, Tim Walz, “believe in science.” Mr. Ford was one of a number of Hollywood celebrities who endorsed Ms. Harris in the days leading up to the presidential election.
But even her Hollywood star power could not push Harris over the finish line, and President-elect Donald Trump won both the electoral and popular vote.
