Trump Tower in New York City had to be closed to visitors Wednesday after a man believed to be a member of a climate extremist group that destroyed parts of the lobby.
Just after noon, a young man walked to the building’s public lobby, walking towards the seal of Donald Trump as the 45th president of the United States, tagging him with green spray paint “USA”, video and video video. Freedom News TV It was shown.
The young man then kneeled under the obvious act of vandalism, closed his eyes, soaked in the attention of the crowd, and held his cell phone in his hand. He then pulled out a small banner decorated with the message “Game Over” and lifted it up to see everyone.
The security agent immediately ordered the individual to get off and handcuffed him and leave. The man cried robotically as they drove him out of the building. “This is your country. This is your country. This is our country.
“This is our planet,” he continued. “You can’t ruin it without a comment. They’re ruining the planet for profit.”
“All American parties are equally conspired with the inactions that have brought us to this point. Switching to blue is not the solution.”
The agents were busy detaining the young man, but an older man wearing a backpack quickly moved on, apparently trying to protect the spray painter from law enforcement. “Don’t touch him!” the older man barked repeatedly.
The older man then asked to know the name, badge number and police station of the police officer handcuffing the young man. The officers eventually appeared to tell the older man he was with the NYPD, but his other comments are uncomprehensible in the video.
The officers then insisted that the area must be cleared and closed. Some tourists were not satisfied.
“I was standing side by side to take a photo. That’s ridiculous,” said Jeff of Missouri. amnewyork. “There’s a lot of divisions in this country, there’s a lot of whining. That’s what it is.”
In the video you can hear one person calling the spray painter “f**king s of s**t.”
James Byrne, a spokesman for the US Secret Service, confirmed the incident in a statement. “The Secret Service in the US is aware of cases involving people spray-painting their graffiti inside the Trump Tower public lobby in New York City,” Byrne said. “There is no disruption in the conservation business. We would like to thank the NYPD for their immediate response and unwavering partnership.”
Trump is not thought to have been at Trump Tower at that time.
AmnewYork reported that the person responsible for vandalism is a member of an extremist group Extinct Rebellion NYC. The outlet also shared a statement from him:
I did this because I am American. It is my duty to stand up for my country and my planet when the government begins to destroy our rights of life. Donald Trump and the administration of private interests in which he works – giving equal contributions to each party – destroy your innocent rights of life. All American political parties are equally conspired with the inaction that brought us to this point. Switching to blue is not the solution. Kamala Harris’ climate platform was far more deadly than usual, with gas fracking. Decades of inaction have led to a current climate catastrophe.
The outlet did not provide the suspect’s name or mention an elderly man who attempted to carry out the interference.
The detained individual reportedly claimed he used a removable choke in his attack on the Trump seal. New York Postciting law enforcement sources, he claimed he had previously been asked to trespass on criminal offences at Columbia University.
Amnewyork further showed that the extinction rebellion was engaged in a series of events of questionable legality to mark Earth’s Day. These included vandalism at Tesla dealerships and disruptions in New York City’s ballet performances.
