Jon Stewart, host of the Daily Show, stated that former President Bill Clinton and former First Lady Hillary Clinton should “definitely” respond to subpoenas related to Jeffrey Epstein.
When asked during Tuesday’s show if the Clintons should comply with a subpoena from the House Oversight Committee regarding Epstein, Stewart replied, “Absolutely.” on the weekly show Podcast.
However, he added a caveat, mentioning that the U.S. Department of Justice hasn’t fulfilled a deadline to release Epstein-related files since Congress voted for their release.
“If the Justice Department isn’t releasing the files, why should I?” Stewart elaborated. “Is compliance an opportunity for certain individuals, or should it apply universally?”

“So the Justice Department has summoned them to give testimony in the Epstein case without even releasing the files? What does that imply?” Stewart questioned.
He reiterated, “Personally, I absolutely think they should comply. If there’s something secretive or dubious happening, we should be aware of it. Though, it’s tough to predict how long this will continue.”
Stewart concluded, “They should certainly comply, and so should the Justice Department, so that the victims of this horrific situation can finally see the justice they deserve.”
As reported, Bill Clinton is in contempt of Congress for missing a scheduled deposition before the House Oversight Committee.
Hillary Clinton was also set to appear in court but missed her deposition, according to various reports.
Recently, reports have highlighted the Clintons’ ongoing refusal to comply, noting they’ve declined multiple chances for live testimony and preferred written statements instead.
Hillary Clinton’s lawyer, David Kendall, asserted that she has no personal knowledge regarding Epstein or Maxwell’s illegal activities and hasn’t flown on his plane or visited his island. Furthermore, he stated that Bill Clinton hasn’t spoken to Epstein in over two decades.
