Support for Marsha Blackburn in Tennessee Governor Race

A prominent conservative organization, which has been influential in Republican politics, has voiced its support for GOP Senator Marsha Blackburn in her bid for the Tennessee governorship.

The Club for Growth PAC is backing Blackburn, who will be competing against Representative John Rose in the Republican primary for the 2026 gubernatorial election. The victor of this primary will aim to succeed GOP Governor Bill Lee, who will be stepping down.

David McIntosh from Club for Growth PAC stated, “Senator Marsha Blackburn is a proven leader devoted to public service, working tirelessly to protect the freedoms and financial health of Tennesseans.”

Blackburn is known for her strong conservative views, particularly in the Senate, where she advocates for educational freedom, tax reductions, and the removal of excessive regulations.

Notably, Blackburn is a close ally of former President Donald Trump and has been recognized multiple times as an advocate for economic freedom by this organization.

The Club for Growth claims to be the largest conservative super PAC in the nation and noted that candidates they endorsed achieved a success rate of 79% in the recent election cycle.

In a historic move, Blackburn became the first woman elected to the Senate from Tennessee in 2018. She won reelection in November with a significant 29-point margin, reflecting the state’s increasingly Republican stance.

If Blackburn secures the gubernatorial position next year, she would also make history as the first female governor of Tennessee.
