CNBC host obliterates Democrat’s criticism on Signal text mishap

CNBC host Joe Kernell dismantled the arguments from the false senators of the Defense Intelligence Agency by members of the Trump administration.

Senator Chris Coons (d-del.) made a comment while appearing on “Squawk Box” on Friday. He said national security adviser Mike Waltz and defense secretary Pete Hegses should resign from embarrassing intelligence report violations of app signals.

“I'm going to complain about one eye fragment and ignore the 2×4 of the other.”

Carnen noted that Coons has a double standard for mistakes made under the old Biden administration by former Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.

“Did you ask for Lloyd Austin to step down? Not only did you lose 13 service members, you also left behind $70 billion worth of equipment in the hands of the Taliban,” said Körnen of former President Joe Biden's boring exit from Afghanistan.

“A few years later, he was out of his pocket for two weeks and didn't tell the White House. Did he ask him to resign at this point?” Karnen asked. “When Lloyd Austin doesn't ask him to resign, are you actually asking Hegses or Waltz to resign?”

“There's nothing Lloyd Austin did with health care treatment,” replied Coons.

“Okay, how about Afghanistan?” Karnen interrupted and they began to talk to each other.

“The fact that the Secretary of Defense received medical care is fundamentally different from the Secretary of Defense shared in an unsecured platform attack plan,” Coons said.

Unlike the exit from Afghanistan, Karnen noted that the attack on the Housis was a successful one.

“I'm not saying that the attack on the Hoosis was not successful,” Koons replied. “He says he clearly violated the directive just shared with the Pentagon about 'don't use signals for classified information.' It's certainly not safe.

Karnen and Koons discussed each other until Karnen acquired Koons, who admitted that the Afghan exit was a disaster.

“The executions of the withdrawal from Afghanistan were treated badly, and the loss of these 13 Marines was a tragedy,” Coons allowed.

“Were you supposed you wanted Lloyd Austin to resign?” Karnen pressed.

Co-host Rebecca quickly intermed in the discussion to accuse Karnen of being “whataboutism.”

“The point is to complain about one eye fragment and ignore the 2×4 with the other eye,” Karnen said.

“Joe, the military officer's career will not survive what has just happened, and it shows a blindness to concerns about the safety of information and operations,” Koons continued.

The senator ended the segment by thanking Karnen for his biblical reference.

President Donald Trump resisted calls from the left and even from the right to Waltz and Heggs resign in the catastrophe. Waltz says Jeffrey Goldberg's chief Atlantic editor is fully responsible for accidentally allowing signal threads.
