CNN Admits to Using ‘Digitally Altered’ Photos of Trump, Laura Loomer

CNN issued a retraction on air, acknowledging that it had used “digitally altered” photos of former President Donald Trump and influential right-wing activist Laura Loomer.

X's post, Rumor Share The video CNN issued a retraction after CNN hosts including Anderson Cooper used “digitally altered” photos of Trump and Loomer in “several segments” on Friday and Saturday.

“On Friday night and Saturday, CNN aired multiple brief segments featuring images of former President Donald Trump and Laura Loomer that were retrieved from social media,” CNN hosts said in a statement. “We have determined that the images were digitally altered by a third party and should not have aired. We regret this error.”

In another post, Rumor Criticized Cooper said he “sent a female colleague” to apologize for disparaging her and Trump.

“If you don't retract in writing about X posting false, photoshopped pictures of me and President Trump in an attempt to spread a sick, misogynistic, defamatory attack against me, I will sue you the same way I am suing @billmaher,” Loomer wrote in the post. “How much of a coward are you to use fake photos to smear me and @realDonaldTrump and then not apologize? Please retract in writing and on air or I will sue you.”
