CNN anchor confronts Nathan Wade with key question about relationship with Fani Willis — then his ‘consultant’ steps in

Nathan Wade’s media consultant abruptly stopped an interview with CNN that aired on Wednesday.

Wade is a former special prosecutor hired by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) to help investigate the election fraud case against Donald Trump. The case nearly fell apart earlier this year when Wade and Willis’ romantic relationship became public. Wade later resigned and a judge allowed the case to proceed.

“It’s clear to the public that this is clearly just a distraction. It’s not relevant to this case.”

About 20 minutes into the interview, CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins asked Wade a question about the relationship that his rep didn’t like.

“Just to be clear, when did your relationship begin?” asked Collins.

This question is important because Wade and Willis stated in affidavits that their relationship rear Willis hired Wade as special prosecutor, and if that’s not true, then both attorneys have committed perjury and tainted the election interference case.

At first, Wade began answering questions, stammering about “an exact date,” but then an off-screen “media consultant” suddenly stopped him from giving any substantive answers.

Wade and his consultants huddled together off-screen for nearly a minute to discuss how to answer that question.

Unfortunately the microphone didn’t pick up any of the conversation.

“Are you okay?” Collins asked as Wade returned to his chair.

But this time, instead of answering the questions, Wade was more disciplined and dodged them entirely.

“I think the public is very clear through the testimony and other interviews that this is clearly just an act of obstruction,” Wade said. “That’s an issue that’s not relevant to this case. I think we should be more focused on the facts of this case and the indictment.”

When pressed for answers, Wade said nothing substantive.

Additionally, it is unclear why Wade does not want to answer questions about whether his relationship with Willis began as they both claim.

Contrary to Wade’s claims, details about when Willis and Wade’s relationship began are unclear. Highly Relevant In the Trump case, the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office paid Wade large amounts of money, and as some of the defense lawyers in the case have argued, the relationship allowed Willis to financially benefit from prosecuting Trump, so the case does not justify the prosecution of Wade.

When a romantic relationship begins in front Once an investigation is launched, the defense will likely argue that the case is tainted by unethical conduct that violates the defendants’ due process rights.
