CNN commentator says polling was ‘actually pretty good’ after Trump win

Election pollster Kristin Soltis Anderson appeared on CNN's “The Chris Wallace Show” on Saturday and spoke about the accuracy of polling industry experts.

“I'm here today to defend my industry, the polling industry. After this election, I know many Americans are surprised that Donald Trump won all seven battleground states. “I'm doing it,” Anderson said in the video he posted. gravure.

Many pollsters defended Tuesday's results, stressing that their voting projections in the three “blue wall” states of Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania were largely accurate.

Anderson stressed on CNN Saturday that President Trump's voters may have been undercounted by 1 to 2 percentage points. She attributed the margin of error to people's reluctance to answer polls honestly.

“Nobody's going to tell us what they think. I think the pollsters actually did a pretty good job this time,” Anderson said.

In exit polls, researchers found that while the former president won over Latino male voters, Vice President Harris held on par with single-issue abortion rights voters. President-elect Trump also widened his lead with those who voted with the economy, inflation and immigration in mind.
