CNN Goes All in to Shame Fathers Out of Buying Hunting Rifles for Sons

Less than a week after a 15-year-old girl shot and killed two people at a Christian school in Madison, Wisconsin, CNN went out of its way to shame a father into not buying his son a hunting rifle.

Breitbart News reported that the Abundant Life Christian School shooter used a handgun, and Madison Police Chief Sean Burns later said he actually had two handguns.

CNN reported The source of the two guns the girl was carrying is being traced, but cannot be made public at this time as the investigation is ongoing.

Six days after the brutal shooting, CNN aired an article targeting parents buying hunting guns for their sons and daughters.

CNN began its article with the story of Paul Kemp, an Oregon father who bought a hunting rifle for his 16-year-old son, Nathan. Nathan has been hunting with his father since he was seven years old.

Then CNN said“Parents considering purchasing a firearm for their child during the holiday season must balance the expectations of the gift with the risks associated with the purchase, including accidental shooting, suicide, and the firearm being used in a crime. yeah.”

Strengthening their position, CNN says, “For example, the suspects in the teenage school shootings in Oxford, Michigan, and Winder, Georgia, allegedly used firearms they received as Christmas presents from their parents. The parents are facing criminal charges.” ”

CNN does not mention that the gun used in the Oxford incident was a handgun, not a hunting rifle. It is also alleged that the gun used in the Winder incident was one that the father gave to his son and did not supervise his son's access to the gun. Georgia Bureau of Investigation noticed The accusations against the father in the Winder case are: [the father] He intentionally allowed his son to possess a weapon. ”

CNN ended the article by repeating the false claim that guns are the “leading cause of death for children in the United States.” This false statement has been promoted by President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and numerous Hollywood leftists. This argument is based on numbers that include 18- and 19-year-olds of voting age as “children.”

In fact, on May 26, 2022, Breitbart News reported that, according to statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are more unintentional motor vehicle deaths for people ages 0-19 than unintentional gun deaths for the same age group. He pointed out that this shows that it is 27 times higher.
