Cowboys Secure Victory Over Commanders, Durant Injured

The Dallas Cowboys achieved a significant NFC East victory against the Washington Commanders, winning 37-20 on Sunday. However, one player faced a rather unfortunate incident during the match.

Cowboys cornerback Cobie Durant found himself defending Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin in the end zone during the second quarter. As the play unfolded, Jayden Daniels launched a pass that soared over McLaurin’s head. Durant ended up hitting the ground, landing flat on his chest.

As he was down, Cowboys safety Markquese Bell, seemingly unaware of Durant’s position, accidentally stepped on Durant’s butt and groin area, adding injury to his existing discomfort. Ouch.

Durant remained on the ground for a short time, trying to collect himself, before eventually being assisted by Cowboys trainers. He left the field and did not return to the game.

Joining the Cowboys this offseason on a one-year deal worth $4 million, Durant previously played four seasons with the Los Angeles Rams. There, he recorded 141 tackles and seven interceptions in 61 games. In last week’s game against the New York Giants, he had one tackle and a pass breakup.

Meanwhile, in the second half, the Cowboys managed to limit the Commanders to just 10 points, while Daniels dealt with a dislocated elbow. Dallas also forced a fumble on Dyami Brown, marking the game’s only turnover.

With this win, Dallas improved to 1-1 for the season, while Washington dropped to 0-2.
