'Code Red' Explains How to Get Ready for the AI Revolution

During a recent episode of the NY Postcast, host Caitlin Becker discussed Wynton Hall, the social media director at Breitbart News and author of the bestselling book, Code Red: Left, Right, China, and the Race to Control AI. In his work, Hall outlines how conservatives can prepare for the forthcoming AI revolution.

Becker remarked, “As you’ve pointed out, we really haven’t even begun to understand what AI will change in our daily lives. It touches everything—work, school, relationships, healthcare, you name it. You mention the necessity to prepare for it, but how can we really do that when we don’t fully grasp what’s coming?”

Hall’s response was simple: “You should buy my book.”

He elaborated, “We see AI becoming central in the new policy framework, aligning with what general purpose technologies do. It’s distinct from ChatGPT, which stands for Generative Pretrained Transformer.”

He likened AI to electricity, explaining the significant societal shifts it will bring. “The key difference is that, historically, it took years to wire America with electricity,” Hall noted.

He also mentioned that the adoption of AI is proceeding at a quicker pace since most people now have access to smartphones and computers.

Hall expressed the importance of having guidance on AI, especially as discussions around its impact on employment are prevalent. “We want people to lead the conversation,” he said.

Becker highlighted how Hall pointed out the positive aspects of AI in his book. Hall added that AI has the potential to drastically enhance healthcare, medicine, and scientific discoveries. By analyzing vast amounts of data, AI might identify patterns that humans can’t see.

Furthermore, Hall emphasized that AI can empower entrepreneurs. “If you’re young or simply someone with a dream and a passion, even a small investment could help you grow your business faster than ever before,” he explained.
