Cold Open on ‘SNL’ shows Trump interrupting Mother’s Day with a drinking Pirro and Hegseth.

President Trump made a surprise appearance during a Mother’s Day segment on this week’s “Saturday Night Live” cold opening, alongside former Fox News personalities Johnny Nu Piro and Defense Secretary Pete Hegses.

During the skit, cast members Kenan Thompson, Bowenyan, and Marcello Hernandez were performing a song about motherhood when they were interrupted by Trump, played by James Austin Johnson.

“What am I doing here, haa? We have a new Pope from Chicago,” Trump quipped upon entering the scene.

He later referenced sending JD back for “his thing” if Leo wasn’t acceptable for the moment.

“But I do have some good news: I’ve appointed one of the loudest people I know to be Jeanine Pirro, a US lawyer in DC,” he added.

In a playful twist, cast member Strong portrayed pillows multiple times while running on “SNL,” while Colin Jost frequently ran around with alcohol in his segments as a television personality.

“Janine will be the newest member of my amazing administration team,” Trump further stated.

Piro responded enthusiastically, expressing pride in being part of a group known for connections to Russian assets, liquor enthusiasts, and various bizarre antics.

In a later moment, Hegses joined Trump and Pilo in the skit, and towards the end, he presented Pirro with what appeared to be a liquor bottle, humorously saying, “I promised that I wouldn’t touch the bottle.”

The Hill reached out for comments from the White House and the Department of Defense.
