Yellowstone continues to provide just as much drama and cliffhangers off-camera as it does in its scripted episodes. While the series' upcoming season 5B is often reported to be the show's final season, cast member Cole Hauser hinted in a recent interview that he would like to see more episodes of the series produced unscripted. talk Cigar LoverWhen asked about the possibility of continuing his role as cowboy Rip Wheeler, Hauser replied, “It's not my decision. I'm a hired hitman. Would I be interested in a spin-off? Yeah. I've had fun working with this cast and with Taylor Sheridan. Why stop a good thing? Yeah, I'll write it and do it.”
Hauser says he's passionate about telling Lipp's story: “I have the best office in the world, and I've been saying that for seven years. I get to go out in nature, ride horses, chase cattle, cut ropes, sometimes take the reins… it's a very special role. And at the same time, I push myself and tell myself this is the best job.”
Hauser's enthusiasm appears to be shared, given recent rumors that he has inked a deal with co-star Kelly Reilly to remain with the show. Reilly stars as Beth, the daughter of John Dutton (Costner), who is married to rancher Rip Wheeler. She explained“I just want to finish it. [Yellowstone] We are preparing for this now, with all the care, passion and love we can muster. [and] That's the tunnel vision that bothers me the most.”
She added: “And what's beyond that? You know there are controversies. Don't believe everything you read, it's all nonsense…”
Only time will tell if these rumors come to fruition, but it seems like there's still a lot more to be said about Lip and Beth's story. Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2 premieres on Paramount Network on November 10th.
