College students on the left intend to commemorate the anniversary of Charlie Kirk's passing, according to a report.

As the one-year anniversary of Charlie Kirk’s death approaches, many people are remembering him with somber reflection. However, there are some college students planning events that seem to lack basic decency.

Reports indicate that students at two different colleges are organizing activities aimed at mocking the assassination of the right-wing activist, which occurred at Utah Valley University back in 2025.

A flyer advertising a look-alike contest for Charlie Kirk at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) was circulated, promising “good vibes, good music, good times,” along with a $10 cash prize and a trophy.

Images of this flyer were shared online by the Libs on TikTok account, which stated they were found at RIT.

Additionally, another flyer announced a “Twerk for Kirk Competition,” featuring a $10 entry fee, but it didn’t mention where the event would take place.

This flyer also indicated that “strict security” and “mandatory patdowns” would be enforced at the competition.

“They’re even offering monetary prizes to those who mock Charlie the best. These signs are going up around campus. It’s absolutely vile,” the Libs of TikTok account stated.

A request for comment made to the Rochester Institute of Technology remained unanswered.

At Georgetown University, a purported social media post called for students to attend a similar “Charlie Kirk” look-alike contest at Copley Lawn in Washington, D.C.

The Turning Point USA chapter at Georgetown issued a statement condemning any events that disrespected Charlie Kirk, emphasizing the importance of the upcoming memorial ceremony at UVU.

Georgetown University also released a statement on Tuesday, denouncing the anonymous social media posts. They noted that there had been no confirmed activities on campus related to these posts and that the university was not aware of any student organization hosting such an event. The statement elaborated that they deemed the language of the posts to be entirely inconsistent with the university’s values, expressing disappointment and emphasizing the importance of promoting respectful dialogue.
