Colin Gosselin Prepares for Memoir Release with Support from Alexia Umansky

Colin Gosselin, known from reality TV, is gearing up to launch a revealing memoir about his troubled childhood with parents Kate and Jon Gosselin, and he has fellow reality star Alexia Umansky cheering him on.

This past Friday, Colin shared a snapshot with Umansky during a dinner outing in Los Angeles, writing about their enjoyable time together. “Went for pasta, stayed for some fun laughs and conversation. It was really nice catching up with friends over dinner in LA!”

Umansky, the daughter of Kyle Richards from “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” commented on the post, expressing excitement about moving to LA herself.

On her Instagram Story, Umansky showed her support for Colin’s upcoming book, titled “In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood,” set to be released on October 13. She wrote, “So proud of @collingosselin1 and everything he stands for. Proud to call him a friend,” accompanied by a heart emoji.

She also shared a photo of the memoir’s cover, suggesting many who have followed Colin’s journey would be interested in his story, noting it’s available for pre-order.

The Gosselin family gained popularity through the TLC show “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” which aired from 2007 until 2017, documenting the lives of Jon and Kate along with their sextuplets: Colin, Arden, Joel, Alexis, Hannah, and Leah, plus twins Cara and Madelyn.

After a decade of marriage, John and Kate divorced in 2009. By 2018, John had secured sole custody of Colin.

Colin has made serious accusations against Kate, claiming years of “child abuse and child exploitation,” which she has denied. Kate’s attorney maintained that her actions were not meant to harm Colin but were instead to protect her family from what they described as his “questionable behavior.”

Colin’s memoir is said to reveal untold stories from his past. According to the publisher, he plans to delve into experiences, including being “held captive in a basement” and the pressure of administering antipsychotic medication as a child.

As they both navigate this turbulent family history, Colin has publicly criticized Kate recently, while she referred to him as “mentally ill.” In a response to a TikTok comment about disrespectful interactions with children, Kate remarked, “Sadly, only parents of mentally ill children can understand.”
