While college programs maintain insurance policies in case their players are injured, Colorado expanded disability coverage for its entire Alamo Bowl roster.
Sanders, the No. 20 Buffaloes coach, made sure Hunter, the quarterback's son and two-way star, receives a bigger package as he is expected to be a top-10 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.
“His idea was that players should have disability insurance in the lead-up to this game to ensure they could play and to ensure that they received adequate treatment in the event of any injury. ” said George. “So we worked together on that. We're really looking forward to it. I think it's great for all of our players to be in the game. That's what every bowl game is like. It’s the way it should be.”
