A Colorado family is seeking help to bring home their father, who is currently stranded in Denmark after falling seriously ill on a cruise.

Guy and Adrian Matlock set off on a 14-day cruise to Scandinavia to celebrate their 37th wedding anniversary with friends, but Guy fell ill on the sixth day and returned to Denmark, according to a GoFundMe page organized by his daughter Moriah Matlock. He was reportedly hospitalized in Copenhagen. .

Doctors recommend Guy go home where his brain can recover, but the treatment costs are prohibitive and prevent the family from moving forward.

“A flight home by air ambulance (the only travel option, subject to conditions) will cost over $150,000, with $4,000 covered by primary insurance and $20,000 by traveler insurance. This payment must be paid upfront before booking the flight. We need to do this,” the GoFundMe said.
