New Orleans – The 2024 campaign marked his first full season as Anthony Richardson's rookie year was shortened just four games after an injury.
Needless to say, it wasn't as much as many Indianapolis Colts fans wanted.
Richardson suffered yet another injury in the fourth game of the season, and he struggled early on. Within that range he completed more than half of his passes, threw six intercepts and fumbled the ball three times (thankfully everything recovered).

He returned to week 7, but it got worse. In week 7 and 8 he went into the air 56-20, losing two fumbles. So the Colts went with Joe Fraco for a short period of time.
His final five games were pretty much the same – less than half of his passing attempts were caught and he couldn't hold the ball. For one thing, he rushed for 358 yards in that range. However, he missed the last two games with yet another injury.
Adding it all, Richardson's first full season was to complete 47.7% of his passes while throwing eight touchdowns against 12 spins in 11 games. He ran for 499 yards and six touchdowns, but placed the ball on the ground nine times.
But his star returning to Jonathan Taylor is begging everyone to give him time.

“People don't realize that the quarterback that's coming out is like 24. He's 22. So he's not playing like a lot of ball yet. 15 in the NFL. I'm only playing games,” Taylor told Fox News Digital in a recent interview (he's 23 years old in May).
Taylor is in New Orleans for Super Bowl Week. Perhaps it's where he wanted to compete for the Lombardi Trophy. However, during his trip he goes out to the Dairy Queen for a typical pre-match meal.
“I'm going there right after this. I'm getting that sauce and a portion of the thrown honey barbecue chicken strip basket,” Taylor said.
Ah, he won't forget about his “good” Oreo Blizzard.
But by talking about his quarterback, Taylor pointed out what people don't see.
“He's getting extra reps on the field. He really is in the playbook every day, so he has that work ethic.”
