Colts remove video release schedule that made fun of Tyreek Hill’s arrest

The Colts were trying to steer clear of controversy following the Tyreek Hill joke linked to his recent detention.

Indianapolis opted to scrap a “Minecraft”-themed release video. It’s almost amusing to think that not too long ago, Hill found himself detained by law enforcement outside Hard Rock Stadium.

This clip hasn’t been shared on the team’s X account, nor can it be found on their website or YouTube channel.

The segment in question featured a dolphin wearing a number 10 jersey with “Hill” on its swim block, only for Coast Guard officers to disrupt the scene.

You could almost see the animated dolphin’s eyes widen as the boat approached.

The “Minecraft” theme ties in with a recent film that’s created quite a buzz in the gaming world.

That video didn’t last long online. The rival Texans poked fun at the AFC South foes by quoting supposed estimates that the post would be taken down, with a cheeky “Error404” screenshot.

The brief clip captured the moment outside the Dolphins’ home stadium, before those officers wrapped up their first-week victory regarding Hill’s controversial situation from September 8.

The officer had to pull Hill out of the vehicle, eventually handcuffing him as he was subdued on the ground.

Hill was issued a ticket for careless driving and not wearing a seatbelt, which was later contested.

Stahl, from the South Florida Police Charity Association, claimed Hill’s driving posed a significant risk to others.

Officer Danny Torres, who was involved in Hill’s detention, was assigned to administrative duties thereafter. Hill even called for Torres’s termination in a statement shared by his attorney, Julius B. Collins.

“After reviewing several body camera recordings, we demand the swift termination of the officers currently on administrative leave, particularly concerning the unfortunate incident captured by a citizen’s video at the Miami-Dade Police Station with Tyreek Hill on September 8, 2024,” Hill stated.

The Colts are set to kick off their season against Miami on September 7 at 1 PM, featuring two teams striving for a place in the 2025 postseason.

Despite speculation about wanting to leave, Hill is back with the Dolphins for his fourth year. Meanwhile, the Colts seem uncertain about their future with Anthony Richardson as quarterback.

They previously considered Daniel Jones as competition for Richardson, perhaps even as a starter.

If they had treaded lightly with that video’s release, they could’ve enjoyed a spot in the upcoming scheduled reveals instead of attracting this kind of scrutiny.
