Columbia County residents have a deadline of October 15 for their taxes.

As of August 8, 2025, Columbia County has collected over $5.1 million in property tax payments, according to tax collector Rachel Waller. This figure includes personal property, real estate, and mineral production for the 2025 tax year, representing 27% of the initial claim for 2024 taxes.

The tax books in Columbia County opened on March 1st, and payments are due by October 15th.

Waller explained the various payment methods available: “You can pay by mail, use the dropbox, or handle it online or by phone with a credit or debit card.” She noted that there is a 3% convenience fee for card transactions.

The Collector’s Office is located at 101 Boundary St., Suite 104, Magnolia, and is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cash, checks, mail-in payments, and credit/debit cards are accepted, with a 3% processing fee applied to card transactions in person or online. Also, personal checks won’t be accepted for late tax payments.

Checks should be made out to the Columbia County tax collector.

A drop box is conveniently located outside the building.

For mail payments, send checks to Columbia County Tax Collectors, 101 Boundary St., Suite 104, Magnolia, AR 71753-3372. Don’t forget to include your tax ID number on the check and an engraved self-addressed envelope for receiving your receipt. You can access your payment confirmation at a specified website.

Taxes can also be paid by phone at 870-234-4171 using a credit card.

You can pay online with debit or credit cards or electronic check. Just enter your taxpayer ID number located at the top right corner of your tax statement.

Current taxes can be partially paid via mail, online, or by phone until the October 15th deadline, but delinquent taxes do not accept partial payments. It’s also important that personal property taxes are paid along with the property plot.

After October 15th, taxes will be behind, incurring a 10% penalty thereafter.
