Comedian Andrew Schulz believes Tom Brady’s anger toward Jeff Ross for Robert Kraft joke was ‘100% real’

Netflix’s The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady features comedians and athletes digging into every aspect of Brady’s life.

But when “Roastmaster” Jeff Ross made a joke about New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Brady quickly got up and told him at the podium, “Never say that again.” I heard it.

Now, comedian Andrew Schultz, who was among the roster on stage at Sunday night’s live event, revealed that Brady didn’t want jokes made about Kraft in attendance.

“I think that was 100 percent true,” Schultz said of Brady’s reaction to a joke Ross made about a legendary NFL quarterback asking his former owner for a massage. “I’ll tell you something. The reason I think this is real is because they didn’t joke about having a happy ending with Bob Kraft. I had a Bob Kraft tag.” [after] It’s a joke about Randy Moss. ”

Schultz felt that if Ross made a joke, Brady might want to stop the roast.

“This is the first comic to be baked live, and it’s your night,” Schultz said of Brady. “He was ready to shut everything down. It’s Alpha A–move out there.”

Brady didn’t mind jokes about his failed marriage to Gisele Bündchen, Deflategate, or his relationship with Bill Belichick, who made a surprise appearance. But he didn’t want anything to be said about the craft, and made that clear.

The day after the roast, Ross appeared on “The Rich Eisen Show,” and when asked if Brady was actually mad at him for making Kraft’s joke, he said, “No way.”

“We’re having fun,” he said. “It’s like a father figure to him, right? Robert Kraft is like a father figure to him. He just showed love to Robert Kraft.”

Ross said he had a great conversation with Kraft after the roast, and the billionaire owner also secured a spot for him. Kraft cracked a few jokes and ended his corner by asking infamous Russian President Vladimir Putin to give him back his Super Bowl ring.

Other stories also came out of the roast, such as Kim Kardashian receiving thunderous boos from the crowd when she stood up. But there seems to be some reality to Brady’s anger at the moment Ross made the Kraft joke.
